DPMPTSP was established by Regional Regulation Number 5 Year 2006 on the Establishment and Structuring of Regional Devices of Pekalongan City and Mayor Regulation of Pekalongan Number 66 of 2016 on the Position, Structuring, Duties and Functions and Working Procedures of the Office of Investment and One Stop Integrated Service of Pekalongan City.

The existence of DPMPTSP is one of the efforts taken by the Government on the bureaucratic reform in Pekalongan City, through the paradigm shift from the government as the ruler become a government as a servant and public servant. In providing services to the public, DPMPTSP tries to provide the best service based on the principles of excellent service so that people feel easy, comfortable and calm in taking care of their licenses.

DPMPTSP is a metamorphosis of One Stop Integrated Service Institution in Pekalongan City, where previously in the form of Integrated Service Unit (UPT) in 2005 then changed to Service Office of Integrated and Investment (DPTPM) in 2008 then changed to Integrated Licensing Service Agency (BPPT) in 2009 and in 2009 until 2016 it changed into Investment and Integrated Licensing Service Agency (BPMP2T) and finally at the end of 2016 until now changed into the Office of Investment and One Stop Integrated Service (DPMPTSP) of Pekalongan City.
