Based on Presidential Decree Number 27/2009 and as a part of a 100  days program, BKPM impose Integrated One Stop Service System (IOSS) to bypass the hassle of bureaucracy so it accelerates the business licensing process for investors. The goal is to streamline and consolidate the number of the step and place which has to visit an investor for the releasing of business permits. This program requires the approval of the 16 ministries involved in the investment approval process, and give an authority to the BKPM in providing licensing and non-licensing services. Since February 5, 2009, all ministers related have signed the various decision letters necessary for implementation of the IOSS and the BKPM can move forward with the process implementation both at the central and regional level.

National Single Window for Investment (NSWi)

National Single Window for Investment (NSWi) or System of Information and Licensing Service of  Investment In Electronic (SPIPISE) was created to facilitate further the IOSS. NSWi is an electronic platform for investment so that investors can obtain a variety of licensing s and non-licensing service online. The ability to fully automate the licensing process of investment will increase the efficiency of licensing services significantly. This system was first launched in January 2010 in the Free Trade Zone and Free Port of Batam.
